NINE

Two people, nine scenes, what happens next is up to you...

“Nine is innovative, unpredictable, and faultlessly performed. This is physical theatre at its best”
Buzz Magazine

NINE is a show about the making of a film noir movie. The audience choose the scenes which unravel the plot, but also to uncover the out-takes, the deleted scenes and the relationship difficulties of the performers.

With access to all areas NINE is at times hilarious, ridiculous and thoroughly entertaining. What will happen next when it’s your turn to choose?

What the critics say:

The thrilling extremes of this entire evening is what keeps you interested and engaged; this constant heating and cooling of the brain is what keeps the performances fresh. It is rare that two people can be both outrageous and endearing at once, yet NINE allows room for all sides of performance, emotion and charisma. One moment you are close to tears at a dying horse (albeit a rubber mask on Mrs Clark) and the next, horrified at how she performs a 3 minute orgasm to the sounds of heavy breathing with her legs wide open! – Dino Rovaretti

Two actors, four characters, nine scenes and a full house. The tale of the private dick in love with the showgirl who goes off with The Fat Man – but not necessarily in that order… very soon it becomes clear that there is no fourth wall, the audience are part of the show and once they cotton on they manipulate the performance by repeating scenes – with hilarious results. All characters are played – with swift wig and costume changes – by Mr and Mrs Clark who fill the stage and combine dance and mime against a back drop of a black and white film reel with noir authentic soundtrack.  – Buzz Magazine
