News – it’s been a while

As we distance ourselves from the pandemic meltdown and subsequent reconstruction, we’d like to announce that we have a show, a new show, coming to a theatre in February. The dates are below for our first sharing of ‘A Brief History of Difference’ written and performed by our DasClarks colleague, and associate artist, DAR.

We’ve been busy since we completed the much delayed tour of ‘Louder Is Not Always Clearer’. We’ve been working on a project called ‘Creative Roots’ with incarcerated people. We presented exhibitions of artwork in locations inside and outside of the prison. We produced a book about the project and our experiences. Our plight has always been to promote creativity to people as a means of expression, as way to explore and analyse self and the world we live in. These sessions in a prison have inspired all of us to continue this work.

‘A Brief History of Difference’ has been brewing for a couple of years. It was this time two years ago that we began exploring this concept with support from Arts Council Wales. With more ACW funding we are able to develop the work and present it with the support of The Riverfront in Newport and Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff. DAR will blog more as the project unfolds, I’m sure.

And a further note, we have become DasClarks, moving away from the Mr and Mrs Clark company name. We are designing a new logo and that will change on this site when completed.

Happy New Year

Gareth
